Item Suitability and Delivery
All furniture items must be pre-approved before arriving at our auction rooms. This can be done through a physical appraisal, an email appraisal, or by providing photographs for our staff to assess. Our team will advise on the item’s suitability for auction and provide an estimated auction value. Smaller items that are easy to transport can be brought in for our staff to provide further advice or can be assessed through photographs or emails.
Delivery of items is accepted during the following times:
- Tuesday: 1pm – 4pm
- Wednesday: 8.30am – 4pm
- Thursday: 8.30am – 11am
(Note: For long weekends, delivery is only accepted on Wednesday and Thursday.)

Commission Rate and Other Charges
Commission Rate: Our commission rate is 20% (including GST) of the hammer price for each lot sold at auction.
Lot Offering Fee: There is a lot offering fee of $3 (including GST) per lot offered.
Dumping/Disposal Fee: There is a dumping/disposal fee of $100 (including GST) per item that is not saleable.
Withdrawal Fee: There is a withdrawal fee of 20% of the reserve/guide or top absentee price or $25 (whichever is greater) per item withdrawn from auction.
Guides and Reserves
Guide Prices: Guide prices will be accepted on any item valued for auction over $200. Our valuers will assist you in setting reasonable and achievable price guides.
Acceptance of Offers: The auctioneer has the discretion to accept an offer within 25% of the guide price. For example, if the guide price is $400, the auctioneer can accept an offer of $300 without consulting the vendor.
Unsold Items: Unsold items will automatically be re-entered into the next auction, and the guide price will be reduced by 25%. If the current guide is $100 or less, then the item will be offered and sold with a reduced starting price in the FINAL CALL auction ending at 8pm on the same day.
Reserves: Reserves can be accepted on items valued over $500. The reserve price is fixed and firm, and offers will not be submitted below the reserve price. The reserve is valid for one offering only and will convert to a guide for subsequent auctions.
Vendor Payment
Direct Deposits: For our Monday Estate Auctions, payments will be processed via direct deposit on the Friday of the sale week.
Specialty Auctions: Payments for specialty auctions will be processed the week following the auction.
Unsold Items and Items Not Suitable
Items Not Suitable: Items delivered, either in person or by carrier that are not suitable for auction will be disposed of at your cost, which will be deducted from the proceeds of sale. Examples of unsuitable items include white goods, microwaves and other appliances, CRT TV (analogue), VCRs, DVDs and CDs, contemporary furniture that is scratched/damaged/broken and unsaleable, all baby goods, safety equipment (including helmets, etc.), any electrical item (with the exception of collectable radios, clocks, etc.), stained/damaged rugs, carpet, mattresses, bedding, office desks (with the exception of antique or antique style), chipped or broken china and glassware, magazines, and general kitchenware.
Unsold Items: Unsold items will be automatically entered into the next appropriate auction. If the current guide is $100 or less, then the item will be offered and sold with a reduced starting price in the FINAL CALL auction ending at 8pm on the same day. Should you wish to withdraw an unsold item from auction, you will need to remove the item(s) by Wednesday 5pm. Items not removed by this time will automatically be entered for the next auction. If an item is removed after Wednesday 5pm, you will be charged a removal fee of 20% of the guide price.
Unsold Items Limit: Unsold items will be offered a maximum of three (3) auctions with a guide (reserve/guide). The fourth auction, the item will be offered and sold at the auctioneer’s discretion for best price. The onus is upon the vendor to remove the item prior to the fourth auction.
